Game Rules & Scoring
How to Play
Farkle is a classic high-stakes dice game of luck and risk. The objective is to be the first player to accumulate 10,000 banked points.
- Rolling: On your turn, you roll all 6 active dice.
- Holding: After every roll, you must select and "hold" (set aside) at least one scoring die or scoring combination (see below).
- Rolling Again: You can choose to roll the remaining unheld active dice to try to get more points. If you can hold all 6 dice, you hit "Hot Dice" and can roll all 6 fresh dice again to keep accumulating your turn score!
- Farkling (Busting): If you roll and none of the rolled dice are scoring, you **Farkle**. Your turn immediately ends, and you lose all points accumulated during that turn.
- Banking: If you have scored at least some points in the current turn, you can choose to "Bank Points". This saves your turn points to your permanent bank and passes the turn.
- Daily Limit: Each player is allowed exactly 10 tries (turns) per day. Manage your tries wisely to score as high as you can!
Scoring Combinations
Only certain dice combinations and single face values score points. Any other dice (like individual 2s, 3s, 4s, or 6s) are worth 0 points unless they are part of a combination:
| Combination | Points Value | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Single 1 | 100 points | 1 |
| Single 5 | 50 points | 5 |
| Three of a Kind (1s) | 1,000 points | 1 1 1 |
| Three of a Kind (Others) | Face value x 100 | Three 2s = 200 points, Three 6s = 600 points |
| Four, Five, or Six of a Kind | Doubles for each extra die | Three 3s = 300, Four 3s = 600, Five 3s = 1200, Six 3s = 2400 |
| Straight (1 to 6) | 1,500 points | 1 2 3 4 5 6 |
| Three Pairs | 1,500 points | 2 2 4 4 5 5 |
